Director of Mid America Immunization Coalition (MAIC)

As the Director of the Mid America Immunization Coalition (MAIC), Ali Hilton spearheads advocacy efforts to protect immunization policies as the key to keeping our KC metro community healthy and safe. In this role, she leads public awareness campaigns on the importance of vaccination, provides education on immunization trends and coordinates free flu and COVID vaccine clinics. Before joining Nurture KC, Ali started in the field at United Way of Greater Kansas City and moved on to Synergy Services where she worked for 12 years. There, Ali was a youth advocate at Synergy House (youth homeless shelter). She was promoted to Program Manager in 2013 and was in charge of Transitional Living and Maternity Group Home housing for at-risk youth and their children, as well as the Teen Parent Support Program. Ali received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and her Master's degree in Public Affairs – Nonprofit and Community Services Management – both from Park University. Outside of work, she enjoys being with her two children, two dogs and extended family, and also watching documentaries or having game night with friends.
