SHANNON WILLIAMS

Shannon Williams joined Nurture KC in 2015 as the Education and Health Promotion Coordinator for the Kansas City Healthy Start Initiative. Shannon is an experienced health educator and facilitator, having worked for the Johnson County government for 15 years. She began in the Victim Assistance Unit of the District Attorney’s Office, transitioning to the Women, Infants & Children program, and lastly with the Department of Health and Environment. Shannon speaks Spanish and attained a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Human Relations, and a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, both at MidAmerica Nazarene University. She has devoted her career to helping underrepresented communities elevate their well-being by increasing their knowledge about their health.
