Wow! 2023 was quite a year for Nurture KC. Read our year-in-review to see what makes us a stand-out non-profit that truly makes an impact on the lives of local Kansas City families.

When you donate to Nurture KC this Giving Tuesday, you support moms like Kyndal and Nasavia who are making a better life for their families through our Healthy Start Program. Kyndal earned her Dental Assistant certificate with honors, enjoys working in her field and would like to become a dentist. Nasavia completed her Phlebotomy Technician training and is enrolled in Nursing School. We are proud of them both! As Thanksgiving nears, we want to give a special thanks to Lynda Johnson who made these cozy blankets for the little ones in our Healthy Start program. The gift of time matters … and our families appreciate it!

Congrats to North Kansas City Hospital & Meritas Health! Their staff is teaching parents safe sleep practices for their newborns per standards set by Cribs for Kids. Nurture KC helped the hospital develop new policies, educate staff and develop educational materials. Learn more and see all our Nurturing Safe Sleep Champions.

Learn about our Fall flu clinics, Healthy Start graduates, latest Safe Sleep Champions, new data on local infant mortality rates and how our Community Action Team (CAT) helps area hospitals secure safe sleep certification (equating to a healthy and safety win for K.C. families).
