We’re excited to welcome Derek Braun to the Nurture KC Board of Directors. Derek brings expertise in finance and economics, with degrees from Park University and the University of Sussex. He leads financial strategy at FairWave Specialty Coffee and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Outside of work, he enjoys trail running, photography, and exploring local coffee shops.

Nurture KC Executive Director, Tracy Russell, spoke in Topeka last week before the Senate Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee on behalf of Paid Leave for All Kansans. Providing parents with paid leave after the birth or adoption of a child is vital to thriving children. With her are Brenda Bandy, (Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition Inc.), Jan Marrs (Mize CPAs), and Kari Rinker (American Heart Association).
