Wear BLUE Day in Kansas City for child abuse prevention was Friday, April 8

Thank You for making Wear BLUE Day a resounding success! There were over 4,500 people registered to wear BLUE and over 60 pictures submitted for the photo contest.

The two photos with the most LIKES win delicious treats from Nothing Bundt Cakes in Mission, KS. With 811 Likes, Jackson County Children’s Division took first place and Clay County Children’s Division came in second with 491 likes. Honorable mentions go to Susan Doyle of Platte County Children’s Division with 137 likes and the Children’s Mercy Critical Care Transport Team with 109 likes.

Local child advocacy groups have planned lots of special events during April Child Abuse Prevention Month.
