Audrey Dunkel, JD takes the lead as chair of Mother & Child Health Coalition’s Board of Directors for the 2018-19 fiscal year.
Audrey currently serves as the Vice President of Financial Advocacy for the Kansas Hospital Association. She holds degrees in Political Science and Law from Fort Hays State University and the University of Kansas respectively. As part of the KHA advocacy team, she is responsible for research and analysis of federal and state issues and proposals regarding health care finance and representing KHA and its members in local, state and national venues on issues related to financial advocacy.
In addition, she serves as the liaison to the Kansas Association of Healthcare Patient Access and Accounts Managers (KAHPAM) and the Kansas Medical Group Managers Association (KMGMA), as well as Membership Chairman for the Healthcare Financial Management Association Sunflower Chapter.
Prior to joining KHA in the fall of 2012, Audrey was a Principal Fiscal Analyst for the Kansas Legislative Research Department, a non-partisan agency serving the Kansas Legislature. During her fourteen years with KLRD, she was responsible for analyzing the budget and drafting budget legislation for various state agencies, including the Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, Kansas Health Policy Authority and the Kansas Department on Aging.
