Nurture KC was key to this in-depth feature article showing how we help pregnant moms with tangible results. In fact, Nurture KC’s Maternal Morbidity Report spurred the article.

Never a dull moment at Nurture KC! Tune in here for our latest news, including celebrating our 54 Healthy Start graduates. We hope their sweet faces brighten your day! Related, Nurture KC also completed our once in a five-year grant cycle Healthy Start site visit with our national project officers. On the MAIC side, our flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics are in full swing. You can view the full schedule and see what’s new. Lastly, we welcome new staff and say goodbye to two Board members who have made a difference to our organization over the years.
The Mid America Immunization Coalition (MAIC), a program of Nurture KC, is offering flu and/or COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer doses) at this year’s clinics. All of these clinics are free and open to the public with Walgreens providing the immunizations.
The next clinic in Kansas is today from 9 to 11 a.m. at Center of Grace. It’s located at 520 Harrison Street in Olathe. The next clinic in Missouri is Saturday, Oct. 1 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Church of the Resurrection in Kansas City. The full schedule throughout October is on Nurture KC’s immunization page. All clinics will accept walk-ups or people can schedule appointments here.
“Many of our vaccine clinics are in underserved communities that we believe have a right to equitable healthcare,” says Ali Hilton, MAIC Program Director. “These clinics help keep our KC community healthy. Along with direct service, MAIC also does a lot of work around advocacy for immunization that makes a positive impact in both Kansas and Missouri.”
Both Stephanie Seger with Children’s Mercy and Jovanna Rohs with the Mid-America Regional Council will be missed on Nurture KC’s Board of Directors! We appreciate all they contributed to our organization over the years.
