In honor of its 10th Anniversary, Brown Button Estate Sales is hosting a “Treasure Trove” benefit sale with all proceeds directly benefiting Nurture KC.
“We are excited to support Nurture KC, and all the families they help, in honor of our 10th anniversary.” says Michael Fry, CEO of Brown Button. “We want to do something special to give back to Kansas City. This is a natural fit because Nurture KC makes a tangible difference for mothers and babies in our community.”

Anyone can donate fine furniture, art, jewelry, decor and fashion from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the event location: 7589 W. 119 Street (Southwest of Metcalf and 119th St.). Brown Button also can pick up large items, if needed, that meet its criteria. People can simply complete the Donation Evaluation Form to find out.

We kicked off 2021 encouraging families in our Healthy Start program to live a healthy lifestyle — eating right, staying active and taking care of their mental health. Here are the winners to our contest asking: How is your family adopting a healthy lifestyle? These families will receive Heart Healthy cookbooks and salad kits from the American Heart Association.
This is a must-watch presentation, given by Dr. Barbara Pahud, at last week’s Mid America Immunization Coalition (MAIC) quarterly meeting.
“You don’t want to miss this replay! She had our members captivated — breaking down complex subject matter in easy-to-understand analogies and descriptions,” says Shelby Ostrom, Strategic Initiatives Director, who oversees MAIC.
Dr. Pahud is the Research Director of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Children Mercy. In partnership with the University of Oxford and the University of Kansas, Children’s Mercy is at the forefront of developing a vaccine to prevent COVID-19.
We think the public may find this information useful as well.
We serve many families through our Healthy Start program, like the Elias family. They are expecting a baby next month! We helped them prepare with a new car seat and crib, plus education on car safety and safe sleep for newborns. Learn more about Healthy Start: https://nurturekc.org/solutions/
