Despite the existence of compelling research and statistics about the importance of safe sleep in reducing our nation’s high rate of infant mortality, the number of babies who die in adult beds and other unsafe sleep environments is on the rise. In fact, of the more than 4,500 sudden, unexpected infant deaths (SUIDs) each year, statistics show that as many as 80-90% are the result of unsafe sleep practices. These are preventable deaths.

Safe Kids Metro KC and the Safe Sleep Task Force, both programs of Mother & Child Health Coalition, will hold a Safe Sleep class at Samuel U Rodgers, 825 Euclid, Kansas City MO 641 on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 10-11:00 a.m.

If you are a pregnant woman in your third trimester (27 weeks or more) or have an infant that is less than 6 months of age you may qualify to receive a free pack ‘n play by attending this class.  Space is limited so register today! Register online at http://doodle.com/8zvy9i79wfcp5v3r
